About us – Crisis Advocacy Program Inc.
Crisis Advocacy Program Inc. (CAP) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to
breaking the cycle of violence and restoring hope to individuals and families affected by
domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and related forms of abuse.
Founded in 1999, our organization has served as a beacon of refuge and resilience for over
two decades—providing trauma-informed support, survivor-centered advocacy, and life-
stabilizing resources across our community.
Our work is grounded in compassion and driven by a mission to restore dignity, safety, and
strength to those impacted by trauma. Through emergency response services, educational
outreach, prevention programs, and long-term healing initiatives, we walk with survivors
from crisis to confidence.
Led by Founder and President Deloris Cattenhead, Crisis Advocacy Program Inc. continues
to expand its reach and deepen its impact—empowering survivors to rebuild their lives,
educating communities to recognize and prevent abuse, and advocating for a future where
every person can live free from fear and harm.
Safe Steps Forward,
an initiative of Crisis Advocacy Program Inc., is a
trauma-informed effort to prevent domestic violence and support survivors. It offers
emergency response, counseling, legal advocacy, and safety planning. Educational
workshops promote prevention, and partnerships with local agencies help expand impact.

Stronger Starts
is a prevention-focused initiative of Crisis Advocacy Program Inc. designed
to educate youth, parents, and community members about healthy relationships, emotional
regulation, and early warning signs of abuse. This program builds awareness, strengthens
protective factors, and equips individuals with the tools to break cycles of violence before
they begin.
